Noticed another recent post regarding items that once placed in world and then taken back into inventory, simply vanish without a trace. There was no way to reply to that thread. I lost several items a few days back, worth about a 1000L.
Not a myth, or people looking for freebies. This anomoly is out there. Makes me a bit nervous about rezzing stuff. A friend tells me they got a warning memo from somewhere about this from LL. I didnt get the memo. Whats the scoop?

Winter, this is taken really seriously. I know what you're referring to. There was a gridwide announcement made (one of those blue dialog boxes) when this was at its worst; it should have settled down by now. Nevertheless, lost content is lost content. Please send a bug report from HELP menu with all the details--names of objects, UUIDs if you have them (not likely but worth a shot), where you lost them, etc.--and give the receipt # to an inworld Liaison. It will be checked out further to see if there's any hope of recovery. Sorry to hear about your lost items.  |
