I noticed this morning that the sandbox is Plum is no longer there and that the entire sim has been turned over to:
"Plum - JayJay & Yasmin's Wedding Place"
Also, Cordova is now set no-rez (yes, the whole sim).
I'm certain i'm not the only one noticing that we've increased our userbase by a factor of ten, yet we still have only 5 sandbox sims.
Will more sandbox sims be added, or are we losing those already in place?

Lasivian! Glad ya asked. It's times like this I like to shed more light on history and opportunities involved. What happened with Cordova was presumably a glitch--it is REZZABLE now. Also, Plum and the vehicle sims are available for rental! More info about those land rentals is here, and Pathfinder Linden is your guy should you want to rent 'em out: Agree that we're growing very quickly and we've had these same trusty ol' sandboxes without much growth there. (Heck, I remember when Island Sandbox--now Sandbox Island was brought online!) Indeed, as this has come up several times in the SL Forums, with me having witnessed all those occasions, requests have already been put in for MORE LINDEN SANDBOXES. I also add that searching for "sandbox" in FIND ---> PLACES yields some very appealing Resident-run private ones which have different layouts and facilities to suit the diversity of creation needs we have here in Second Life. |
