Hi
I've spent a lot of time in voids recently, I find them peaceful, and it has left me with a couple of questions.
I understand (maybe incorrectly) that four void regions run per server, whereas normally a single region runs on each server? I also understand that a void is only there either to link two land masses or to provide somewhere for people to operate boats etc without dodging various builds.
What I would really like however is to be able to build something on a water void and would put it to Linden consideration that some voids allow a single, average sized plot, say maybe 4,608m (my allocation!) for building, maybe sock in the centre, or even at touching corners so some people will be able to make bigger builds over four sims, kinda like a WaterWorld if you like.
I'm not talking about huge-traffic areas. My typical traffic is between 0 and 200 though the high traffic is normally only when I'm building, so we're not talking about seriously stressing the systems. Likewise an object restriction on the whole area of whatever said plot of land can accomodate could be set, so the whole region is limited to a very small number of prims.
I know there is an alternative of buying a whole sim, but in reality that's never going to happen. The costs far outweigh my desire to have a peaceful plot in the sea that doesn't have any neighbours so to speak.
I really hope you might have a possitve response to this, truly I do!
