Linden Lab has made no such announcement. It also seems unlikely that this would happen. Many households use routers behind a single IP for multiple computer users and it doesn't really make sense to limit the entire household (or business or campus) to a single login. To say nothing of the fact that the vast majority of ISPs use dynamic IPs for residential accounts meaning everyone one of their customers shares an IP address with many people.
Kelly ,
This is a reply you wrote to a post alittle further on down the thread , am i to take this as in some cases this would make it impossable for Linden Labs to trace a griefer or hacker that might be sharing an ip address with many other people ? . . . I think it's very important for you to know who's who on the grid and be able to respond in the case of tracking down trouble makers and banning them for the good of all sl . Do you care to comment on this ? . . .
