It's ironic that it's harder to register for the blog than for SL itself

Have you wondered why the number of comments is so small for the past two days' blog posts about the never-ceasing grid attacks? It's because the hoops one must jump through to be able to comment on the blog, now that it's hosted by Wordpress, are much more labyrinthine and stricter than the process of creating an alt to grief SL with. Which I find strangely ironic. Perhaps if it were as difficult to get an SL account we wouldn't be having the grid locked down for 2-5 hours per day practically every day?

I agree, that is frustrating. Many Residents reported having problems registering to comment on our blog. It ended up causing more difficulties than benefits, so required registrations for commenting are again turned off. Hopefully in the future we will be able to implement a blog which automatically recognizes Second Life accounts.
