It occurs to me that it might be good to try to get as many people as possible into the preview grid now. It might be late in the process but it's not as late as it will be when 1.9 hits the bigtime.
In connection with this thought, maybe next time some more fun places could be made available in the preview grids, like some places with good clothes stores, good weapons stores, good animation stores, etc., and land to buy, along with a big balance of play Lindens.
Surely there would be some value in having people in the preview grid to play and be wild and test the system in ways other than the tests designed to find bugs that the programmers are expecting. More folks there mean more feedback on design changes - before they get implemented and essentially cast in stone, like 'em or not.

Sorry I missed this earlier when you posted it--time is of the essence! I often think of Preview Grid like one of those scenes from a scifi movie, like the mall is abandoned and you can be a kid again. It really has that feel, because of how nondestructive changes there are. You can totally mess up your av and not worry. I'll let our bug hunters know your suggestion. Thanx!

I asked the bug hunters and would just like to add that we already had two Preview pile-ons in the last couple of weeks, which helped stress key systems enroute for the 1.9 launch on Wednesday. Pile-ons require an enormous amount of effort and they're well worth doing... but I'm sure there'll be more SL Previews in the future and more fun to be had in Preview! Thanks again.
