Alright, LL is now saying "Don't use !quit. It doesn't work".

Fine.

You got a better idea?

I'd dearly like to hear what LL is doing to fix this. Even if it's only hypothetical attempts at solutions. Right now we hear nothing but empty words.

Perm-Banning after it's used is the gate being closed after the horse is out. Full perm items that the creator did not want distributed would now be in-world. A bit late to help the content creator.

So some CopyBots are affected byt !quit and some not. That's LL's word only. Others, who worked with LibSL, have mentioned that command is part of the program that can not be removed. Which is true?

So I ask; What, exactly, is LL doing to fix this? What is LL doing to ensure that creators do not have their content stolen? What is LL doing to preserve an economy that LL and the Residents both have worked to build?

And please don't point me to a 1000 entry blog. I'm not fond of looking through a haystack for a needle. And don't mention that using the CopyBot "illegaly" results in Perm-Ban. Tell us LL's plans to prevent it from being used illegally.

Dude, you are a true and good friend, and I love you like the brother that my mom claims she never had, but you are in fact acting like a flaming douche on white toast with a side order of dickknob salsa..maybe you should reconsider this course of action and we go find something else to do.

There is no real way to prevent copybot or a similar tool from being used to make copies inworld. It would be a waste of time and effort to try to wage an arms race in that respect. As such it makes sense to invest that effort in tools and systems to empower residents and more easily protect/identify content by creator.
