Is 1.9.1's new object LOD permanent?

A bit concerned about this. As of 1.9.1.14, our avatars became pretty much destroyed due to what appeared to be a 'new' maximum LOD. We bug reported it, presuming that it was a bug, but as of 1.9.1.15 it isn't in Known Issues nor has it been fixed in 1.9.1.15.

I'm not sure if this is just the "way things are going to be"; but if so, it's not even a matter of redesign: they just aren't going to really be useable anymore.

This was true across systems, on mac and PC and linux, and independent of graphics card (ATI, nvidia). Sliders at max had no effect. Rings, spheres, etc. were at best, 6 sided.

Can we get an update on what's going on with this, if it is a bug, or if it is new behavior?

No, not permanent, Michi. This is what I call the "hexagon donuts" problem. In the process of being improved, actually. Pardon it wasn't listed. It was actually improved a great deal from 1.9.1.14 ---> 1.9.1.15 but then today, I noticed some inconsistent oddities when rezzing multiple cylinders and zooming out, then in again--some cylinders have a higher LOD than others. Attached is my picture.

There's also a known bug in 1.9.1.15 which was just agilely fixed where freshly-rezzed objects will be at their lowest LOD. Additional problems, please send bug reports so we can corral them all in.

I know from history about how much you care about LOD and are extremely observant about these types of things... your feedback is important!

Wanted to update this was fixed very quickly, quicker than Release Notes could be copied-and-pasted, LOLEX--as of 1.9.1.16, the problem shown in my picture above has been corrected.
