Buying an island: questions on tier fees

I can't find this information in the Land Store FAQ, or in the land use fees page, or in the private island information page but it's seem pretty important to me to know this before buying an island.

If I buy an island, when do I pay tier fees? When I order (and get billed) or when the island is actually delivered?

What happenes if the island arrives on the last day of a tier-billing period? Do I get charged for the other 29 days in which I didn't have an island?

If I already own some land, what happens to tier fees? My piddly little 1536 on the mainland would mean I owned over 65536m² until I could sell it, does that push me into some unlisted bracket and cause an extra $195 tier fee?

And what, in general, happens if I have more than 65536m² on a single account? Surely the big land barons don't have an alt for each sim. Is it just billed in extra $195/65536m² blocks?

Does the USD$1250 setup fee include the first month's tier? I'm pretty sure teh answer is "no", but I'm hopeful. *smiles*

Hi Nepenthes - There is some information about private island ownership in the tech support wiki.

Islands don't count against your tier, so you don't need to worry about that. An island is a flat $195 per month, with the first payment billed 30 days after the delivery of the island (and I'm sorry, it doesn't come out of the upfront fee :().

If you are paying monthly tier payments for land on the mainland you will most likely have a different billing date for those payments than you have for the island. The amount of your tier payments will be unaffected by the island purchase.
