"We have a new tool which gives an automated warning one minute prior to the region going down in a rolling update/restart."
Sorry, but this is NOT the case. Last night I was AFK during a sim restart and returned to find a blue warning box telling me the sim was going down in 15 Seconds!
That doesn't seem like a reasonable time in which to do anything you might need to do prior to the sim shutting down (saving scripts, taking a build into inventory, etc).
While I appreciate that the above statement may reflect what the writer has been told the situation is, it appears to bear little relation to reality - like a lot of stuff around here of late.

The system that we use initially gives one minute warning, then further warnings in 15-second increments. Are you certain that you did not have boxes beneath the 15 second warning message for the 30 second, 45 second, and one minute marks?
The problem of course is that these messages pile up on top of one another. Were the messages windows free-floating, you could easily see that you were being messaged repeatedly. I am sorry that this system is confusing, and caused unexpected behavior!
