Are Self Replication objects really needed?

It seems like the common use for them is grid attacks.

Is it a really necessary function to have? or something that you at LL should considering disabling, or even modifying so an object can only produce x amount within a given time.

I really see no reason an object need to replicate hundreds of times

Thanks for the feedback, we agree that it is unacceptable to misuse the scripting tools with this type of malicious activity within our world.
