I really would like to be a dj in sl but I need to know what all i need to get started. Are there programs that need to be bought? If anyone could help me out with the information that im looking for I would appreciate it

Aamyah, a warm welcome to Second Life and the SL Forums. DJing itself is done outside of SL--the audio is simply passed through from the streaming audio server (doing the broadcasting) to the client (your computer). I'd recommend doing some forum searches, like this:

/110/16/94606/1.html

and also, enjoy DJs inworld and get to know them better, asking them for advice. SL is very social and as a result of this, it's a great way to learn. Happy DJing. :)
