Well, I've noticed a HUGE drop-off in responses here in the answers forum. You've closed down the forum where we could answer each other's questions. Now there is talk of disabling comments on the blog during crucial times. All the talk of how LL actually does value our input and opinions yet you are systematically shutting down our methods to communicate with you.

Have you noticed more "general" type posts here in Answers since closing the general forum? I have.

This forum is the ONLY place WE can bring up topics that we need answers/discussion to so please do not stop responding here, and please stop referring people to the support e-mail, it is not effective, and people do not get answers from it. We've gone from MOST of the posts every day being answered to a very few answers sprinkled throughout.

I understand it is time consuming, but in light of the state of SL the last few days people need to be re-assured that they can get answers to their questions.

As a member for over 2 years, I'm seeing a greater and greater sense of unhappiness with LL decisions. I'm afraid that MANY of your members are teetering on the edge of leaving or downgrading. I know I am. As it is I can barely move in SL lately let alone do anything.

We are in need of some major reassurance here, and not just in response to the answers forum, but I think people would really appreciate seeing some actions taken that actualy are what they are asking for.

Frustrated

Hi Musicteacher!

Yes, there has been a drop off in responses to the Answers posts, largely because we've spent considerable time this week helping people change their passwords (phones) and also making sure the information on the blog is up to date.

And it's also true that there are many more posts in the Answers forum, whether because of the closing of General or because of the security and update problems, is hard to tell. Many of the posts are observations rather than questions, or are questions about the update which were addressed in the blog. So there is a backlog, and we'll start whittling it down this week, with a focus on responding to those posts which are asking questions that have general interest to the community (in other words, not requests for support for an individual problem, and not rants).

Also, Pathfinder's post said we'd close comments when there's a risk of the flood of comments creating a larger problem with performance on the website. It's not due to a lack of interest in people's posts, and is only temporary until we move the blog to a server where it doesn't have such an impact. The good news is, people are reading the blog and putting their ideas and opinions out there!

Please bear with us through this transition, which has clearly been made worse by the problems we had this week. We *do* value your feedback, and welcome any and all constructive ideas for making things better.
