How long are object emails stored in an object? Mainly, is it permanent?
Also, when a sit target is stored in an object is that permanent and secure?
If the answer is yes then I really don't care about the first question.
In the next few days I'll be releasing a new and improved sit ball freebie. It's already stable and easy to use, allowing pinpoint precision without hassle and the setup involves no typing, The core script resets itself every time you stand, and the settings script refreshes once in a while (the modular system is intended for widespread and easily customizable use). For total bulletproofness, I have to assume that someone will eventually perform full recompile... This is why I plan to store an emergency copy of the sit target (normally it just resides in the prim) in the only read/write area that won't be affected... email.
BUT
if the email server is cleared every few days, weeks, or even months I'll be completely dependent on the object-stored copy of the sit target. I'd sure like that backup unless I can get solid assurance that it's not needed.
