How long has LL known that LibSL is dangerous and reckless?

I am curious about this, considering the fact that several Lindens apparently are part of it.

Please note that I'm a resident seeking an answer to a question here. This is Resident Answers, I presume?

While I do believe several members of LibSL joined and operate in good faith, it has become apparent a good proportion at or near the top did and do not.
Something is rotten in the state of Denmark, and I don't actually think LL have woken up and smelt the coffee yet.

What's even more confusing - LibSL issued a statement of apology this morning, saying they would be responsible in the future and try to help people, but not hurt them, and that they had ejected the member responsible and would require signs that a person be responsible before they joined.

I was relieved and cheerful the rest of the day, and posted on Linden Answers that it was time for them to do the same.

Unfortunately, by tonight, that message was DELETED, and the contact person given on the LibSL site was now the name of the person ejected.

So, it's back down in the dumps for me.

Meanwhile, I have been unable to locate a podcast of the Town Hall podcast to see if there is any hope there. And meanwhile, transcripts have been posted indicating that LL has been offering to provide unused Sims for the LibSL people to test on, for free!

Does anyone know where I can find a podcast to listen to?

Have you actually read those transcripts or just heard that they exist??? If you have not read them, please go educate yourself immediately and do not spread that any further.

First of all, any and all such transcripts are inherently suspect.

Secondly, you are partially correct, but if you had read the transcript you would know that the sims were on a test grid and it was for the purpose of libsl reporting problems that they found to LL. Not just a bunch of land on the main grid to go and have fun with, as far as I could tell.

I am not on their side, but I hate misinformation and FUD!!! From either side.

Yes, but this is a question that by its very nature, only a Linden could answer. So why didn't you ask it in Linden Answers?

A counter-ejection? the ejectors ejected?

Reading the transcript of the foul-mouthed LibSL discussion where the supposedly ejected person and others gloat about the destruction copybot will cause I have only one question, is there a lack of maturity criterion you have to satisfy to join that group?

Good point. I'll move the thread there.

Of course I have actually read the transcripts.

Have you?

Of course I realize there is inherent suspicion in transcripts.

However, in this case there were several transcripts, and the people in them did not disavow them, or claim they were fake. The chances are quite good that all those transcripts were not faked, and the people in them are not disavowing them simply because they haven't gotten around to it.

Yes, I am aware that they were offering to set up free sims for the LibSL group to use, apparently so they wouldn't do so much damage, such as crashing and whatnot, to the main grid. So?

I'm not giving any misinformation. No matter how much perfume anyone tries to put on all this, it still stinks to high heaven.

Please remember that the libSL group has also been responsible for bringing to LL's attention, some very serious potential problems so that we could address them before they became exploits.
