Left Over Question from Town Hall

Hi I was sent here by Jeska since my question couldnt be answer by Philip. What is the possiblity of having folders in our friends list to organize it? Another idea for that would be each folder would have the ability to turn permissions on and off for the people in the folder (online status, teleporting to you, etc)

Hello Becky--good questions! The first, better organization of ther Friends list, is something I've suggested and discussed with other Lindens myself. Here's my reaction: why is it we can sort Calling Cards in inventory, but not Friends? Having many friends, it gets unwieldy, so it makes sense. By all means, I like gauging Resident interest, so if you have many more links to threads or a voting proposal showing what support there is, send it my way... you can email me, [email]torley@lindenlab.com[/email]. I can then spread the good word.

Secondly, about more advanced controls like that, that sounds like it could reasonably be part of future revamps to permissions and groups--likely a longer way off, but if you have a clear plan for implementing it, share it with the world. For ideas, Tiger Crossing's blog is an extremely good example of how to present.
