Since my new neighbors moved in, I've been getting extreme lag. At first thought, this is no big thing, however, I live on a sim-border where most types of lag don't "crossover" to my sim. The graphics displayed is about the only thing.

After talking with several freinds, and having them come over and discussing the problem while experiancing the lag, we all concluded that the culling oclusion(sp?) isn't working over teh simline. Anyone in the area is, in fact, having to render everything in draw distance, even if inside a building. Even those who had high end machines and graphics cards experianced the lag.

I am unsure as if this is a bug, a glitch, a hardware issue (ours or LL's), or something other. I am reluctant to send in a Bug Report for lack of information and the nature of the problem. I do not like to file erroneous data and overwork the overworked techs even more.

Could someone pass this around and see if anyone has a clue as to what is going on? If any other information is needed, send me an IM, or notecard, and I'll answer as best I can. I'll gladly let my home be used as a testing point if this is a problem that may corolate to other lag issues. And I have coffee *grins* Ask Torley ;)

Thanks
~Jessy

Dude, you are a true and good friend, and I love you like the brother that my mom claims she never had, but you are in fact acting like a flaming douche on white toast with a side order of dickknob salsa..maybe you should reconsider this course of action and we go find something else to do.

Hey Jessy--for stuff like this, it's best to ask a Liaison from Help menu > Live Help and have them check it out live and direct inworld. You can also give your notecard. They can pass it on to the weekly gridmonkey developer as required; I used to do more of this sort of thing personally but recently time's been tight.

I could forward this message of yours but (1) you didn't include specific coordinates and direction to look in and (2) it wouldn't do more good without Linden eyewitnessing, which helps as I know from experience. So please go ahead and give that a try!
