What is LL going to do to fix Search?

LL says it can't go back. Fine.

The problem is the current use is useless.

Do not hand me the line about scalability. It's old, and quite frankly, it's not longer valid. Yes, SL has grown explosively lately. That is LL's own fault. Thier own mistake in not foreseeing that. While I do not blame LL for not being fortune tellers, I do blame LL for not doing a thing about it since.

1) When is LL going to hire more employees? Not Liasons, but full blown programmers and technicians and staff to handle Customer Support. Obviously those you have can't handle the job, so hire more.

2) When is LL going to use the money we Residents pay to actually improved the tech base and Customer Support that is constantly asked (even begged) for here on the forums?

LL has gone from THE hot topic of the edge of teh cutting edge to the laughing stock of the buisness and online communities.

When is LL going to grow up and actually be a company?

P.S. If this sounded harsh, it is. Welcome to the world of buisness. And yes, I know how to run a buisness. And if I treated my customers like LL does, or supplied such a problem ridden product to thos customers, I'd be out of buisness.....as LL might soon be if they don't grow up.

I don't understand this. How is it useless? All the results are there for any search term, they are all sorted by price paid. When you search google, do you get a thousand results on a page? Do you even get 100? No, you get 1 page of results with buttons to jump pages. Classifieds now shows the first 100 results on the first page, with pages for the rest. Linden Answers isn't the place for this feedback though. Please discuss existing features or changes in Current Version Feedback forum. Or discuss new feature change in the Feature Suggestions forum.

I dream of the day when scaling is not an issue. Today is not that day. We are constantly working on scalability issues and will constantly make changes to the system to address that scalability.

We are constantly working on improving the 'tech base', with new better hardware where appropriate and development time where appropriate. We are also constantly working to improve support, but this is not my area of expertise.
