I know in the past when there was identity verification that there was a limit to how many accounts you could have. Now that there is no identity verification of any kind, is there a limit? Can we get in trouble for having more accounts than what the (old) limit on accounts was (I think it was three?). Are alt accounts kept track of in any way - like by IP or MAC address? If IP or MAC address is now the way to define a user, what about households with more than one member playing SL? Is there a danger of all of them getting tagged as one person?

Just some random questions I've been wondering about.

WHAT A CUTE FORUM AVATAR!!!

Okay, Jolie, yes, that technical limit still exists in place, but since as you point out, realistically unlimited free alts can be created, it specifically pertains to Premium accounts. You won't get in trouble on the basis of creating alts alone, no. Only if those alts are used to egregiously perpetuate violations of the Community Standards.

And yes, we do keep track--IP is one of the ways, so is common sense, but beyond that, I can't really say. We have had cases where one member of a household griefed and spoiled it for the others :p, but a quick phonecall to Support remedied and clarified the situation. As you can imagine, these things are context-specific, but generally, no worries.
