How long can a post be?
I know there is a maximum of around 30,000 characters, but is there a lower amount that would cause manual deletion by a linden moderator , or is there an automated system that removes a long post after it is posted, even though the post worked?

There are some specifics, such as: months-old attachments in certain forums like the Classifieds will get pruned and removed to save disk space.
There isn't a lower strict limit, though, which would be subject to administrator removal.
Older posts can get archived, as you know.
