To everyone at Linden Labs, I would like to say sorry for the Furry Community and the way it is looked upon in the Second Life Community. You may be asking why I am doing this. Well after another person heard a Linden say over the Town Hall Meeting audio stream the follow: "Those f----ng furries are back." There must be a reason for this to have been said. Could it be a bias by Linden Labs? Maybe there is, but who is to blame for this? Well I looked at it and maybe it is us furries. We seem to get the most griefer attacks. We have the most problems with the copybot. We seem to have created the most drama about the island price issue. We seem to create the most drama overall as it stands. We even have fights within the forums and blogs against other furries.
I understand many residents do not like furries, the goreans for one will not even allow us to visit their sims. I understand that some do not like us in the real world and decide that Second Life is a great place to attack us, Somethingawful.com for instance now has done scheduled raids into the game and they mainly target us. They even admitted that they were the ones responsible for the Grey Goo attacks on their own forums and have posted some of their grief attacks on their forums in full screenshots of where and what they did as war trophies of attacking the furries.
I thought we had given Linden Labs a lot as far as community, like building many of the private sims we have today, some have even turned into miniature continents of their own. We have created many different items for avatars which have greatly increased the lindens flowing in the game and have even created some real wealth for some Second Life users. I guess however that even these accomplishments are not enough to overcome what the Lindens must feel is a blight on their otherwise perfect experiment in the digital realm.
Maybe I am missing something that should have been mentioned. I am not sure anymore of what Linden Labs thinks of us anymore. We seem to be the ones frowned upon by those that have created this game. I again wish to apologize for what furries have caused in game and that hopefully what was said on the town hall meetings was not meant to show what Linden Labs truly thinks of the furry community.
