A lot of my objects have started going 'shiny' over the last few weeks. Poseballs have a metallic sheet, furniture suddenly looks like chrome, and the latest a bath tub gone to black metal. I'm not editing the textures on these items. They just seem to spontaneously turn shiny.
Any thoughts?

Karmianna and Gemini, do you two know each other? Or is this just synchronicity? In any case, I've heard some anecdotal reports of this, but--as fate would have it--no solid reproduction so we can get a better understanding. It's also important to have specifics at hand: for example, a "clothing item" is worn on the avatar and it can't be set shiny. If you've got a way to repeat this and "incidentally make things shiny" when they're not supposed to be, that would be fabulous. You can send a bug report inworld from HELP menu ---> REPORT BUG and also please let me know what you've discovered. (You can IM, PM, or email me at torley@lindenlab.com.) Then we'll be able to exterminate this bug better. Also please check if this happens in Second Life Preview 1.10 and make sure your graphics card drivers are updated.
