Getting slurls to open the map

Hi --

I am trying to make a slurl that causes the map to pop open within SL. Currently, when I click on a slurl, it sends me to slurl.com, and then when I click on teleport now, it opens up SL, but I have to click on the Map button and then click Teleport. Many of the people who come to our location are new users, so this is understandably confusing for them and not ideal.

Here's an example:

Is this a problem with my browser or my SL settings, or is it something to do with the way the slurl is built? I saw one suggestion that I change the %20 to an underscore, but that didn't work.

Thanks. BTW, I did try the tech help forum but didn't get an answer, so I'm taking it to the Torley.

Hi frank :)

I've had and seen that trouble before--I know what you're referring to. In my case, uninstalling and reinstalling Second Life helped it to work again. Let's consider some things:

* *Don't* use underscores ("_";), they're being phased out and aren't proper for SLurl usage. Always use "%20" for spaces when appropriate for future compatibility.

* To verify SLurls, use the SLurlbuilder: http://www.slurl.com/ because it'll output them in the correct and expected format.

* See if one-word regions work for you. For example: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Plum/128/128/99/

I tried your SLurl and it worked fine for me.
