Sigh.
When can we expect the notecard and script editors in Second Life to finally pass Windows Notepad in functionality? Why are we approaching the Second Life 2.0 mark and yet still have very very feature poor script and notecard editors?
I've brought this up numerous times since I joined, but I don't think I've ever gotten an answer. Is a find/replace function at the very least really so much to ask? Seems like it'd take the devs a few minutes to slap one on there. Do you accept bribes or do I need to hire some ninjas?
(Also, line numbers would be pretty spiffy, but I'd take a freaking find function.)
Rar rar rar.

Just wanted to update I haven't been able to find this listed as a possible development project--yet!--altho it doesn't surprise me how useful it'd be, as you mentioned. We've got the comments you mentioned... and if you have links to past threads, please email them all to me (torley@lindenlab.com) so I get them firsthand. I do remember this voting proposal: http://secondlife.com/vote/index.php?get_id=177
