Do basic accounts purge after a period of inactivity (not logging on at all)? I have a friend who's going to be gone from SL for an indetermined period of time, and I was curious if she was in danger of being deleted from lack of use. Also, do premium accounts ever purge from inactivity (assuming the monthly fee/tier is always paid and they're not charter/lifetime accounts)? There's a 512m chunk of land in my sim that's owned by account created in 2004 that has seemingly not logged on since. They have basically no ratings, no profile information of any kind, and I've been watching for them for several months and have never seen them online and never had IMs returned by them. Unfortunately they're not a member of any groups, either, so I can't check to see if they really haven't logged on in all that time (consider that a request for last logged time to show up in profiles. ). By all detectable means, the account is entirely defunct (or possibly an alt, I guess). Is it possible to request that LL check that an account still has a heartbeat and isn't defunct, and sweep it if it is so that the land can be reclaimed? Also, does a forum post such as 'Does anyone know <person's name> and how they might be contacted?' or 'Has anyone seen <person's name> recently?' fall under the 'no naming names' forum rules?

Heya Karsten, simply: no, accounts in good status (i.e. not delinquent), Basic and Premium, aren't purged for being inactive. As long as tier fees are continued to be paid, the land is theirs. Why someone would not want to come in more often and enjoy their land is personally beyond me, but stranger things have happened... From: Karsten Rutledge Also, does a forum post such as 'Does anyone know <person's name> and how they might be contacted?' or 'Has anyone seen <person's name> recently?' fall under the 'no naming names' forum rules? This is perfectly fine as long as it's done in a friendly fashion, and also, there shouldn't be disclosure of personal info, like a "RL address where you can reach this guy", per the Community Standards. A message can be addressed personally--sometimes people lurk and are surprised to see their names! The place to do this is on the Bulletin Board.
