i keep crashing when i do searches..

i keep crashing every time i do a search in my inventory, client clothing .. or try to texture anything..i know my inventory need some cleaning but there isnt that much in it that i should crash everytime.. please help me try to figure this out.. or is this a comon prolblem..??
