It’s important to note that this knowledge did not allow them to purchase any regions to the disadvantage of other Residents.” - Robin Linden
Oh, I most DEFINITELY call BS on this one, Robin. How do you explain the land baron that has an 80K ad in classifieds buying servers at above the baron's normal price for a sim, and who LIED about why “Because of supply problems of Linden Lab we are looking to purchase several more private island estate sims from resident owners to expand <place deleted>”? There are NO supply problems, just preparation for a price increase kept secret from most players. How is ths NOT taking advantage of those that do not know that come next week their sim will be worth a whole lot more? This land baron knew what the problem was, but kept it quet and even going so far as lying about WHY the sudden need for sims and reasons for the 'generous' (for this grioup) increase in payment in their advertisement in the Classifieds. How is this not 'purchasing regions to the disadvantage of other residents', Robin?
How many sim owners did this person screw over by knowingly underpaying them? this person HAD to have known no one that knew about the increase would be that willing to sell for the quoted price and the price would go up for him/her/it once news got out to us peons. Inside knowledge + lying about reasons for wanting sims = Someone abused the hell out of inside info and you don't see a problem. Real class act, Robin.

At a bare minimum, the ad should be reworded, preferably deleted, and the sim owners that decided to sell should be allowed to back out of the deals without penalty since the person making the deal had INSIDE INFO THEY DID NOT HAVE. Now, the question stands, what are YOU going to do about it, Robin?
