I was wondering if the payment for a referred friend upgrading to premium is still being paid as it has been a few days now since my friend upgraded her free account to premium.
I am sure I read that first L$500 was at about 24 hours.

Update Thank you LL this week early July 2007 I finally got my 500L$ for this referral. Well done now if you could just sort out how to accept money from my Paypal account to pay my 9 islands tier fees we will be golden.

Hi Femina, sadly I must let you know referral bonuses do not apply if you upgrade from a Basic account to a Premium. They only count if your first, starting account is a Premium one, and your friend has correctly entered you as the referrer.

[UPDATE] Good news for the future, we've changed it so you CAN get a referral bonus if a friend's referred you and has upgraded *after* registering for Second Life. All the details are here:
