Has any of the lindens thought about the possibility of multipul Grids, almost like continants on seperate grids. As more and more users sign up would choosing at the start a grid to live take pressure off servers? rather than have them ALL on the one grid.
Tis just an idea, i mean i dunno if all the problems we get in the Main grid also happen in the teenage grid.

Loki, this is one of the fondest dreams dating wayyyy back. If you've read forum archives, I'm sure you've seen all the times it's come up. Yes, we've thought -- dreamt of it.
It's not so much taking off pressure, since the current grid is scalable, and current regions run on their own servers... but more for the purposes of people having ideas like "running their own grid" in their basement, which LL doesn't oversee.
Before any of that happens, there are numerous things for us to do first, such as focusing on current stability and performance, in order to assure those later steps are feasible.
The future's a big place, so while running your own grid as a Resident won't happen anytime soon, it *is* an open question that has yet to be answered.
