Heya,
After reading about the new economic ideas coming through, is it still Linden Labs intention to see an exchange rate of L$250/$1 by the time the market stablizes? If so, do you expect to see this target amount reached once (in the future) all stipends are cut and you begin to sell L$ ?
Thanks in advance,
Kirk

The short answer is "no'. Someone asked a similar question in the recent townhall ( transcript is here) With the typos fixed: Jeska Linden: History Rust and Malin Arizona ask: Is there a target rate between L$ and USD, or will the market be allowed to evolve totally on its own? Lawrence Linden: There is no official rate target at this time. We're focusing on exchange rate stability. Sometimes that means letting the market make corrections to get closer to a rational value, other times that means countering changes in exchange rate with changes to economic inputs. Which is a somewhat roundabout way of saying that sometimes it's better to help move the rational value toward the current exchange rate than vice versa. Cheers, Lawrence
