Is this value supposed to work in a llHTTPRequest? The LSL editor highlights it as being a valid constant but trying to use llHTTPRequest with HTTP_MIMETYPE in the parameters list returns a error stating "HTTP parameter key 1 is not recognized". It sounds like there's plenty of people that would like to make use of that parameter but I haven't seen any offical response indicating if its actually implemented properly or not.

It sounds like it is not implemented correctly. You should file a bug report if you have not already.
