Linked Object Question

I was recently working on making a multipose furniture piece for use with a special someone and was trying to move linked pose balls around while sitting on them. If the root prim moves the whole object moves and you move too, we all know that (well, those who have played with scripted llSetPos movement), but odd things happen when you try moving a child prim that you're sitting on.

The odd thing happened when I tried changing rotation and position. I noticed I wouldn't change positions at all, but I WOULD turn in space. This made for some very odd positions. So my question is, why does llSetPos not move a person sitting on a child prim, but llSetRot WILL rotate someone sitting on a child prim? I imagine it's a minor glitch, so could you perhaps nudge that into the next update?
