I would have posted in this thread, but couldn't

I've had prims returned to me from malls in Bauer and Grizedale for no reason (that I can find). This happened to me numerous times since about the time of 1.7. It been happening again for a few prims at Grizedale. The group is the Mall Shops and the land is set to autoreturn if not belonging to a member of the group.

This is not a case where the prim is immediately returned. The time has varied from a few minutes to a few hours. Often, but not always, I shift-drag duplicated the prim that was returned. Sometimes the original prim was returned and sometimes it was the duplicated prim. On occasion the prim that I rezzed from my inventory (this happened at Bauer late last year and earlier this year).

This past weekend, I expanded one of my rental stores in Grizedale. I rezzed vendors and displays. I shift-drag duplicated the structure of the store itself along with the signs. When I was done I made sure all prims were set to the group (Mall Shops) and set to share with the group. Parts of the original floor and two of the newly duplicated signs were returned to me in about 10 minutes. I replaced the returned parts, again by shift-dragging what was left unreturned. In about 20 minutes the new floor and the original signs were returned. Once more I replaced them and they were returned to me about 20 minutes later. This time I did not have the time to go back and replace them.

Andrew, I hope this helps in finding the cause of this problem.

Reply to Andrew,

I will get as much info as I can tonight, assuming it does it again. It returned the items last night again and again I didn't have time to replace them. I will send all the info to you in world via IM.

6:30pm SLT update

I've sent you a note from inworld with the first returned items and the other information you asked for.

Kitty, I need some detailed info in order to track down the problem: date, approx time of day, region name, parcel name/owner/location, objects' names, and objects' owner/creator/location.

The reason I need that much information is that the log files are rather verbose, and the relevant logs are sometimes scattered across multiple machines. The time of day of the problems could mandate the log file that I visit. 'This past weekend' is not quite exact enough for me, could you provide the hour? Send me email or a private message.

Also, what is the name of your parcel in Grizdale? Do you have the exact location? Do you know any of the names of the objects that were incorrectly returned?

The more information the better.

Thanks.
