Self-replicating objects can't even get blogged?

HI,

Earlier tonight there was another blue notice in-world that you were aware of the issue with more self-replicating objects, and you were getting them cleaned up.

What issue? I didn't even know there was a thing going on.

But soon afterwards, the region I was in was restarted, with zero notice (as it's a private island, it may have been done by the owner, so I can't legitimately fault Linden Labs for that; althought it's quite unlikely, since the owner knew there was a tournament scheduled not three minutes from the time it was restarted, which ultimately started late because of it).

When I logged back in again, I discovered nobody could TP to the region, even though one person was already there. I also tried to TP to other locations, both island and mainland, from my home on the mainland, with no success. Ultimately I had to log off, and manually tell it to start me in Hearts Enchanted upon relogging.

So, what happened to communications here? Shouldn't this problem have been blogged, so we could stay abreast of what the situation was? Did you turn off teleports without telling us? Was this a gray goo attack or something else? What kept me from TP'ing anywhere in the first place? No answers.

I know you've got a lot going on, but isn't telling us about things like this a basic part of communicating with us? I don't get it.

Hearts Enchanted crashed for what appears to be unrelated reasons. Private Islands are rarely effected by 'grey goo'. The timing is unfortunate but is just coincidence.

The "attack" was dealt with swiftly and didn't require restarting any regions. The pop-up notice in world was just to let the people reporting it know that the situation was being taken care of. It didn't involve any loss of service or down time so was not blogged.
