Referral Bonuses - Only on Premium /Startup/ now?

So, tell me.

Okay, I can almost get behind cancelling the referral bonus for basic account refers (after all, we're not paying a huge chunk of change - I say "almost" because I've spent too much money buying currency).

But what's the deal - do we only get referrals if our friends sign up as premium in the /first/ place?

I ask because my friend recently signed up, fell in love with SL, and became a premium member.

* L$500 within 24 hours
* L$500 at 30 days
* L$500 at 60 days
* the final L$1000 at 90 days.

Does that only apply to people who start out as premium members?
