Since I can't reply to my own post here, I'd like to address this response to my last.

From: someone
Awe. Personally, here's why I haven't copied-and-pasted at times: keeping announcements that get updated in sync--updating the info in multiple locations isn't as convenient as a simple, clickable link to a central place. Also, remember there are the Teen Grid Announcements that need to be filled in.

Some Announcements & News posts *have* been copied-and-pasted, so we're actually doing both. But ultimately we are going to replace A&N with the Official Linden Blog, cutting down on any confusion and no need for copy-and-paste in the first place. :)
(Bolded sections are my annotations for reference)

The multiple locations is LL's own fault. There's absolutely no reason other than laziness or incompetence on why all information can not be on one site. That LL even entered into a new means of attempted communication without a set plan makes them to look like fools. LL is supposed to be running a growing company. Some apparent managment with intelligent decisions would be a good start to that.

Even better would be listening to your customer base since SL is a PR run buisness. And do not hand me the lie that LL listens. I used the system LL created. I posted and discussed an idea. I put it up for community vote in the Feature Proposal. It hit the "500 votes needed for Linden review" three weeks ago. No comment. Other Proposals are sitting there with over a thousand votes and no comment and have been for months. Shows me plainly that LL just doesn't want to hear the community. Even if this was an "oversight" that was missed, that in itself shows no one cares enough to look.

Doing away with General and Land&Economy forums was a mistake. Niether forum even required LL do posts there, so take the "we are overworked and understaffed" statements for that and drop them in the garbage where you got them. Those forums allowed Residents to ask questions and gain answers from fellow Residents. Now, instead of a community as a whole, we have a myrid of 3rd party sites that have divided the community into nothingness instead of the cohesive entity that it was. We bickered and we fought, but, over all, we worked together. I learned more from those two forums than every LL has ever posted, listed, bloged, or detailed. All LL did with thier removal was take away a huge information base from us.

I have no faith in LL at all. I don't believe LL listens to the Residents. I don't believe LL tells us the truth on problems. The one thing I do beleive is that LL won't be selling out to investors. No one in thier right mind would want to buy such a poorly managed company that has managed to alienate so many of thier active customers. Not active in who logs on, but in who provides input and assistance to help.

Personally, I am done helping LL. No more bug reports. No more ideas. Nothing. Until LL demonstrates they are working and improving, and actually listening to the Residents that LL works for. I'll not waste my time. Don't bother to lie and say LL is doing so. Saying it is a waste of words. You want to prove me wrong, then you'll have to show it. Otherwise, I go the way of many others and close my account and take my money elsewhere.

Dude, you are a true and good friend, and I love you like the brother that my mom claims she never had, but you are in fact acting like a flaming douche on white toast with a side order of dickknob salsa..maybe you should reconsider this course of action and we go find something else to do.

Hi Jessy,

Jean Linden is our new Community Manager with a focus on the Feature Voting Tool. If there's massive proposals like that which are going missed, she should know at once. jean@lindenlab.com or IM her inworld. In weeks previous, I know I got a spate of questions about several 500+ vote proposals that went without Linden comments, so I made sure they did. One example is this:

Also, Angel Fluffy is an excellent resource. He started a Feature Voting Tool awareness group, and is well-acquainted with "lost" proposals to bring to our attention.

Now, what you're describing sounds pretty overwhelming. If there's any specific issues I can personally help you with, just as in the past, don't hesitate to let me know. :)
