Mature Profiles?

I was going to post in the Feature Suggestiosn forum, but wanted to ask some quick questions first.

Before 1.10 there was a checkmark in our Profiles to mark the Profile as "Mature". It is my understanding that this option never really worked properly and was therefore removed.

Now, however, various residents are getting warnings/fines for "Mature" content in thier profiles.

Is LL working on replacing the "Mature" checkbox with a working system for those of use who wish to have such in our Profiles?
If not in process, would LL even concider doing such if the population requested it?

We have "Mature" lands. Why can we not have "Mature" Profiles? Not asking why we can't with the current regulations that require all Profiles to be "PG", but why we don't have the option.

Dude, you are a true and good friend, and I love you like the brother that my mom claims she never had, but you are in fact acting like a flaming douche on white toast with a side order of dickknob salsa..maybe you should reconsider this course of action and we go find something else to do.

Hey again Jessy,

I think this option was removed more along the lines because it induced confusion: we had numerous reports of people thinking it entitled them to include mature content (sexually explicit photos) in their profile, when infact per the Community Standards:
Global Standards, Local Ratings
All areas of Second Life, including the www.secondlife.com website and the Second Life Forums, adhere to the same Community Standards. Locations within Second Life are noted as Safe or Unsafe and rated Mature (M) or non-Mature (PG), and behavior must conform to the local ratings. Any unrated area of Second Life or the Second Life website should be considered non-Mature (PG).
this isn't the case. Basically because profiles can be viewed from PG areas. Some have also mentioned that groups have a Mature checkbox--the same thing applies here, and I think it's going to be removed soon too.

Mature land is different because you actually have to visit the land to see what's so Mature about it. ;) And yes, land with Mature stuff should be in a Mature-rated region. (It doesn't instantly make the land Mature-permissable!) Still, the About Land name and description--again, broadly visible from Find--must be PG.

Hope this helps you. ^_^
