Someone would like to sell a couple of my items in their vendor.
They are going to split the sales 50/50, and in order to get my 50% they need my ID key, is this safe to give out?
Can they program the vendor to give L$ to the avatar name instead?

Yes, it IS safe to allow your key to be used this way. Your key is made available every time you say anything in open chat, say anything in a "private chat channel", every time you TOUCH anything, any time you SIT on anything, any time you PAY anything, essentialy anytime you DO anything. With you UUID/key that widely available, don`t worry about the vendor using it to pay you. As for using your name instead, I kinda doubt that it would work. It might, it might not, but don`t worry about the UUID. |

It is perfectly safe to let them get your UUID. There is no way for them to pay by name.

Yes, its very safe to give out your ID, because its public anyways.
Someone with a simple sensor could get everyone's key ID in its radius. Every person you meet gets stored in your name.cache file in the application folder of your secondlife client. |
