Ive noticed that the residents in SL have grown significantly, and i was just pondering on "what happens when the world gets too crowded"? and my question is: do you just enlarge the world. or do you make different servers like in WoW and such games.

Several things can be done.
Mainland land expansion continues, which means we're continually adding new servers as there's more land: look for some straight edges to be filled out and for the southern continent on the World Map to continue to grow too. Also, there's been much growth in the way of Private Islands: http://secondlife.com/knowledgebase/article.php?id=093 We're not running out of space, Joker.
