Can you tell us what systems your developers use, please?

I am unhappy that my second friend in SL is selling
her sims and leaving SL because each of the upgrades since
1.7 has not really improved her user experience.

Could you PLEASE publish exactly what systems/
graphics cards/driver versions your developers are using
and testing on, so that we, the unwashed and un-enlightened
masses have a clue what might work as you continue to
churn out weekly upgrades? As it stands now, we are all
guessing, and wasting money on hardware that could be
better spent on more land and prims...

You might even net some revenue from system and card
vendors. Think of it:
SL version 1.12 sponsored by NVIDIA!;
SL version 1.13 sponsored by ATI!
What fun we could have!

Lacking that, we might at least be less of a support burden
since we will KNOW what your hardware/driver target is.

I think this information ought to go next to the cool new
Economics Statistics page.

Maybe call it the "Optimal Configurations" page?

Hi Pixeleen, I know our eXtreme Bug Hunters do Quality Assurance on a wide variety of systems, including "typical" hardware. My own "enduser" setup, which isn't anything terribly special but which I've found to be well-fitting for SL, is detailed here. Before this, I had an older Pentium 2.4 GHz with 1 gig of RAM and an old nVidia Ti4200 graphics card. It was a bit of a clunker but served me well. I finally upgraded when I realized I was missing out of ripple water. ;)

I think what's particularly effective would be to see more Residents who've put together configs they're really happy with, and share this knowledge widely. I'd encourage posting of that in Technical Issues, for anyone who's got great stories.

Our testing has led us to the System Recommendations, but let me see what other details we can rustle up. :)
