Paying money to LL.

Now, you can bet this question is not going to be of interest to 99% of the users in SL, but how can I give Ls back to LL?

IE. how would I pay a self-imposed tax?

What would happen if I gave Ls to Gov. Linden?

(For those of you that are curious my reasoning is that the value of the L is dropping because there is too much money on the market in the first place, and while it may be a horribly unpopular idea I think it's up to the users to fix this.)

Thanks

What a novel question, Lasivian! Let me check with Robin about this.

I'd hate to see you give away your hard earned money! Certainly you could give L$ to the governor, but it would still be in the pool of currency. Better to spend it advertising your business or creating a new group in SL if you must get rid of it.

Seriously, increasing sinks doesn't really make that much difference because realtive to the total pool the amount of currency is too small. The biggest changes come from a decrease in L$ going into the economy on an on-going basis. The largest sources of L$ at this point are new user bonuses, premium stipends, and the dwell payments. We're looking at all three to determine the best way to have the most significant impact on inflation.
