I think one of the main things that's burning everyone and getting people up in arms is the fact that they all spend hard earned REAL $$$ on this stuff and its just fanishing into thin air. This is not right at all. I could understand it if its a bunch of free stuff or something like that but we are talking about REAL $$$ here and everyone feels like its not getting the attention from the Lindens that it deserves and I am seeing their point and feeling it as well. I am scared to even log into SL at this point cause I never know what's going to end up taking place when I do and what ever does take place, is it reversible or is that just the way it is...
*** Iventory Backup System Demanded ***
I think we as SL citizens have the right to demand at this point some sort of backup system for out inventory. This should become a top priority in SL development. Yes I know your undermanned and yes I know your working around the clock but I also know that it seems your priorities are not what they should be.
And now there is another release coming? Are you kidding me? I guess what I am asking is what do we need to do as SL citizens to get your attention on this inventory issue?
We MUST have some sort of backup system release to the good people so that we can at least ourselves prevent the loss of items we have paid REAL $$$ for. Performance issues and that sort of thing, does it bug us? Yes of course it does but we can live with those types of pains... We can NOT live with out items we have paid good hard earned REAL money for. That's where myself and I think 98% of the rest of the people on here draw the line.
I have done work in the past for Traveler! (DigitalSpace) and I know you are hiring right now but I am even more then happy to volunteer my time to Linden Labs to aid in anyway I can. I love SL and want to see it be a huge success but this "throwing a band-aid on it and lets see what happens" approach is not the way to do it at all and it has been proven over and over again in I.T.
Thinking too big too fast....
Can we please stop with the future items such as adding new things to SL and just fix what is current until SL is once again 100% stable. Baby steps... Baby steps... It can and is a good thing.
These current issues and the inventory being the biggest is 100% LINDEN LABS RESPONSIBLITY Not vendors, or anyone elses. This would be like me going to the bank and putting in my weekly check then going to get money out and having the bank say, sorry but you have no money in there cause our computers lost their database and me having to live with it... Ah... No. I don't think so. That would never fly in real life and there is no reason it should fly in Second Life either considering it is REAL money that obtains these items that seem to be lost with no answer.
PLEASE RESPOND..... Thank you.
