I clicked 'continue' over 90 times (the first 23 were while the login progress bar was going) before I gave up and clicked 'download'

How is an update optional if it won't stop asking?

I think I've seen this before, erroneously, but I haven't caught it in the act. Sorry for the confusion now that you're updated.
