More specifics on using LL Hangouts for Events?

Hi,

I'd like to know if LL can be more specific about how one goes about throwing an event on Linden Land Hangouts? I've searched the Forums and the Event Reg info on the main SL site and can't locate any more details, such as...

How much notification is needed?
What rights will I have as host for the duration of the event? Can I ban or eject (the obnoxious)? Set land to No Push?
Prim limits?
Can others be allowed to create objects?
Can script driven objects be alllowed? such as INV givers and TP's
Can I designate a backup host (in case of log-in issues)?
Event Duration limits?
Is it possible to set up a music stream for the interim?
Which Hangouts are available? It's not clear when I Searched Parcels for "Linden" and "Hangouts" for example...

The event I'd like to throw is a virtual dice-based game requiring people to have the ability to create objects on the land (with a limit of approx 24 prims per person). I'd need a minimum playable area of 1024 and a basic prim count for game object setup of around 50 prims (or less), so probably a larger area/prim resource is actually needed if the players are rezzing objects. It's basically a building game, although it involves non-scripted combat.

Would a Linden Hangout allow me to do this?

The event is based off one of the RL old Play-doh Monster games.

It's no charge and can be played in a PG friendly manner. I think this is something a little different from the usual run of events and encourages player creativity while working around some our built in AI scripting limitations in SL (by ignoring them completely, lol). It's all about the Natural Intelligence! I like to think of it as a First Person Builder game. :P

I've posted this question the Event Discussion forum as well, hope that wasn't redundant...

thanks in advance,

Happy you asked, Dante! And hello!

The reason why we don't have more specifics is because Linden Locations are hardly used for events... the land is set "as is", and yes, that means No Push is turned on, you won't be able to change the settings in About Land, etc.

When you login to Second Life, check the Search > Places tab. All of them are listed within.

Sounds like for your needs, though, that might be played alright in a sandbox (like Sandbox Cordova) as long as it's not too resource-intensive.

If you ever have an epic event you want to hold though, we also offer rental land in dedicated, special regions:

You're super welcome.
