Hi Torley,
Do you think you could put up a sticky in some of the forums titled "Discuss these forums topics realtime at secondlife:://oak grove/x/x/x"
And in the message body, have something to the effect:
"If you'd like to talk about these issues in world, just click on this link: secondlife:://oak grove/x/x/x" where the topic of discussion are the forum threads listed here."
It might take awhile(a few months) for a culture of using these areas to discuss the forum topics to get off the ground, but I think it would be an interesting experiment at the very least.
What say you?

I'm certainly open to inworld experimentation, Iron. When you mentioned this, I was thinking something akin to a pub; but at the same time, I'm also open to further community discussion of how much interest there'd be. As you know, historically, we've had inworld meetings at a set time for certain forum topics (e.g., creating and changing Second Life last names). But a 24/7 venue where anyone can come in and start discussing would be further than that. Some might also wonder whether there'd be a frequently-cited list of "hot topics", and others are going to wonder how soon it is until we have HTML-on-a-prim so we can browse the forums inworld. I'm not sure yet how it'd differ from discussing Second Life in general--and specifically--in current inworld locales... Nevertheless, interesting possibilities. Would you like to start a thread in General Topics to get more community feedback? Or have there been some already? In any case, just let me know. (Incidentally, I was also thinking about vBulletin's capability to make posts that are links--and tying that into SLurls.)
