Today I got an IM to email from an avie claiming to be a researcher for an upcoming documentary on the BBC about "people who have made a significant enough bond to get married in SL.", which just seems a bit odd to me. Not that the media would focus on that subject, as it's been done many times, probably second only to money-making in SL related stories, but that they'd contact me directly asking for what amounts to personal information, TOS-violating information if I have it right. The letter goes on to include a request for "stories of people planning to get married in SL and RL, or at least in RL, for example?".
The note is polite and all, just seems that they're not going about this correctly. They've included one avie name and two RL email & phone numbers in the missive. I'd like to direct them to the proper Linden channel such that if they're legit, they can get on about their biz without possilby upsetting folks and/or breaking TOS with the best of intentions.
Of course, if one of you Linden-like personages would care for a more detailed account/avie name, etc. please contact me directly, as I'm not interested in "outing" them either, wouldn't be right now would it?
