A new message was put into 1.9. And we've already had to deal with it.

Something happened with inventory transfers. Someone bought one of our avatars, and received... pretty much nothing...

When they put on the av, they get,

"Failed to load body part named (xxxx), Please notify the vendor from whom you purchased this item."

Well, that's good and well, but giving them a new one didn't seem to solve the loading issue. But they're getting this message that just -swears- that we can take care of it! So i've got someone who's livid at me right now, and I'm trying to explain to them that this is a new release, and there are bugs... but all they see is that the message says that we can fix it!

... So, don't know what to say about this one. I can't fix 1.9 inventory transfer bugs. And honestly this person is 2 days old and too new to have to know how asset servers work and what's changed from 1.8 or 1.9; they likely don't care.

All they know is that the message says I can fix it; I can't.

We already have enough customer service issues to deal with from day to day; we really *CANNOT* take the brunt of 1.9's inventory transfer issues head on. Most of these have nothing to do with us, the design of our vendor, or our products; and everything to do with under the hood changes in 1.9.

Could you guys at -least- change this to a more neutral message. This isn't really something we -can- be responsible for, and honestly if 1000+ avatars out there are missing parts... I don't think I'm gonna want to log on anymore with the angry public banging down my door due to something that happened in a version change.

Hello Michi--that is not a new error message. I saw it releases ago, and understand what you mean. No, you should not take the brunt. :( Please PM me with what you think a better message will be, phrased exactly as you envision, and I'll communicate this onwards. Or, better yet: start a thread asking for suggestions for a replacement error message, or ask friends too. Hopefully the wisdom of the crowds will come up with something that is more comprehensive and warm.
