New blog registration completely, utterly blows - You've lost me =(

Folks, you should shoot your WordPress provider for the worst, stupidest, most bizarre registration process I've ever seen in my entire history on the web (which is since its inception).

First, why the hell did you lose our previous authentication data?

Second, they won't accept a two part user name with a space in it, so it's impossible to use your main SL account name as your login name.

Third, in the temp password they give you, their numeral 0 looks like the letter "o". Took me 5 freaking attempts to figure out that stupidity.

Fourth, when you finally get logged in and go to "My Account" > "My Profile" to attempt to change your displayed name to match your actual SL name under which you prefer to post, that link instead requires you to set up a blog (when they give you the choice of taking only a user name at first registration). I DO NOT WANT TO SET UP A FREAKING BLOG ON THEIR SITE JUST TO COMMENT ON YOUR BLOG.

Fifth, why the hell aren't you requiring some form of authentication/tie to an actual SL user name so that other griefers can't just change their screen name to spoof somebody else's SL name and grief you with comments that you supposedly make?

Add all these up, and it simply means you will NEVER, EVER get any feedback from me on your blog again. Period. End of story.

Guess I'll just spam the few forums left here when I need to give you feed back. Nice result of your new policy, eh?

I couldn't agree more that the naming problem is a significant one. Torley and I will see what we can do to fix the registration process.
