scammed out of my first land - what best to do now?

Hi, It looks like I got scammed of my First Land by Joe2 Joliday.
He reckoned I could buy another first land and since I had only just started with SL I did not know ... well u can guess the rest.

He did promise I could buy it back but seemed to dissapear

Anyway, I paid for a year premium acct and don't wanna setup a new one, pay all over again etc, so how can I get a 512 block at not too steep a price (I only have 2024$ and no idea how to do anything yet).

ok, seems pretty clear he is not interested in either selling my first land back or offering alternative. Well, maybe I can at at least find a newbe forum to warn others. Still don't know how to get some land - don't have enough $ for a 512 plot.

Hey Dragonmage! I'm sorry to hear of what happened. What I'd encourage is that you can certainly discuss the issue in General Topics, but I'm thinking for the longer-term, if you have any suggestions about how to inform better about First Land upfront, you can let me know (torley@lindenlab.com). There should have been a notice that comes up before you bought it, and it's also stated on pages like:

You may also want to look at the Classifieds:

or in SL, use the Search > Land to find parcels within your price range.

What you can also do, is if you get to know people and make friends, you may meet someone who cares about you and gives you a place to live for awhile, whether it's rented or--they'll give you a parcel. While I wouldn't count on this, I've seen it happen before. Residents helping Residents.

So there are some options, and I wish you the best with this.
