I can't believe that account abuse and outright thievery like this results in only warnings and suspensions..?

Do you honestly believe these people will change??

I don't want people like these on Second Life's servers, and I can't believe anyone else in their right mind would either...

Get rid of these people, they don't deserve to continue in Second Life.

First of all, I agree with everything in this thread:

7 day suspensions and "WARNING ISSUES" for people tampering and actually getting into anothers account... This has left me appalled. Why were they only given 3-7 day suspensions?


Anyway, joining SL in january and signing on almot everyday, i have not once had a problem with my passwords (Minus the recent security issue which caused everyone to reset theirs). This morning however, i try to log in and im told im putting in an invalid password. After several attempts i then tried logging in with my alt and it worked. And guess where i was hanging out last night? Ahern. What area were peoples accounts broken into? oh yes; ahern.

I say this in sarcasm a lot but now im serious- THIS really is serious business. What if a content creators goods get transferred to another account and they begin selling it? As a content creator, the first thing I checked were my transactions and luckily i found no evidence of anyone transferring things from my account. But who knows what people can hide now aday.





Also, I sent an email to support and like many other unanswered emails sent to support I assume this one is going unanswered as well so I would like to ask about it here instead, if you dont mind.

Problem: When searching "tattoo/tattoos" under "all" my store that I checked and paid to be listed under "Show in Search Places," suddenly refuses to be listed. Before you read on, PLEASE take note that I am referring to the land listings with the blue homes- NOT classifieds with the green hands! Also the feature I am using is searching under "ALL" and yes I have "mature" checked.

I have contacted live help and spoke with an unhelpful linden, I told her time and time again that my land listed (Which have blue homes next to them) is not coming up when i, or anyone else, search the main theme of my store: TATTOO. however, it always worked in the past!

I would like to know why my shop suddenly isnt coming up when one is searching for 'tattoo/tattoos'

My land description is as follows:

Land title: Aitui Tattoo & Piercing / Renown
Land description: Tattoos : Full body, sleeves, asian, custom, characters, images, names, tribal tattoo . Renown: Tees, trendy, punk, emo


When people use "search" they search by keywords, anyones classifieds or land containing those keywords show up, for me- every keyword works EXCEPT the keyword "tattoo" and "tattoos". Try searching "renown"..try searching "piercing"...try searching "asian" ..hey look my store is listed! But try searching "tattoo" and lo and behold- it is NOT there.

Sure my classified ad is there, but I would like for my LAND ad to be showing up as well. I believe that is where most of my traffic is coming from (As my store name begins with an A and the land listings are in alphabetical order so naturally my store is listed first)

I have asked several others to run searches just to verify it was not up there before I went ahead and contacted anyone (As maybe it was a "clear cache and restart" problem.)..they too are not seeing it anywhere.

It just doesnt make any sense whatsoever that all of my keywords would be bringing up my land ad except my main keyword...which has ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS worked before.

I eagerly will be awaiting an answer and a fix. Thank you"




2nd email was regarding me being on day 15 waiting for a check. Says 5-10 days. not 10-20. And i dont feel i should be paying a $10 fee for something this late.

While we can't disclose details about individual accounts in an abuse situation, these cases are not related to the "security situation" that's been all over the news lately. This is different. A 7-day suspension is pretty serious and close to a permanent ban.
